Privacy Policy

Applies to the Simby Studio application and this website. Effective date: August 3, 2026. Last updated: August 3, 2026.

Simby Studio is a creator tool that publishes videos you made to social accounts you personally own and authorize. This policy explains exactly what information passes through the tool, why, and what control you have over it.

1. Information we collect

DataSourceWhy we need it
TikTok basic profile — nickname, username, avatar URL, account posting limits such as maximum video duration TikTok API, after you authorize the user.info.basic scope To show you which account will receive the post and to validate your clip against that account's limits
OAuth access and refresh tokens for TikTok and, if you connect it, YouTube Issued by the platform when you complete its own login screen To upload and publish on your behalf without asking you to log in again for every clip
Video file and its metadata — title, privacy level, interaction settings, commercial disclosure flags Chosen and entered by you in the publishing screen To perform the upload you requested with exactly the settings you selected
Technical logs — timestamps, upload status codes, error messages Generated locally while an upload runs To show you upload progress and to let you diagnose a failed publish

We do not collect your password. Authentication happens entirely on the platform's own login page, and Simby Studio only ever receives the resulting token.

2. How your information is used

Your information is not used for advertising, profiling, training machine learning models, or any purpose unrelated to publishing the video you asked us to publish.

3. Where your data is stored

Simby Studio runs on your own device. OAuth tokens and local logs are written to a permission-restricted file on that device. Your video file is read from your device and sent directly to the platform API endpoint. Simby Studio does not operate a media server and does not retain a copy of your video.

This website is static and is served from a standard web host. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The host may keep short-lived server request logs, which are outside our control and are not linked to your social accounts.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics vendors.

Data is transmitted only to the platform you explicitly authorized, in order to carry out the action you requested:

5. TikTok permissions we request

ScopeWhat it allows
user.info.basicRead your public profile basics so the tool can show which account is connected.
video.uploadSend your selected video file to TikTok so it can be previewed before publishing.
video.publishComplete the publish after you give express consent in the app.

No scope beyond these is requested, and none of them permits Simby Studio to read your private messages, followers, or the content of other creators.

6. How long data is kept

7. Your rights and how to exercise them

8. Security

Credentials are stored with restricted file permissions on your device, and all communication with platform APIs uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Because the tool runs locally, keeping your own device secure and revoking access when you stop using the tool are important parts of protecting your account.

9. Children's privacy

Simby Studio is not directed at children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the tool, contact us and we will assist in removing any associated data.

10. International users

Because processing happens on your own device, your data does not travel to Simby Studio infrastructure in another country. When you publish, your video and settings are sent to the platform you chose, and that platform's own international transfer terms apply.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page is updated and the revised version is published here. Material changes will also be noted on the Support page.
